About Rubirosa
Located in the heart of Nolita, New York, Rubirosa brings together the timeless character of classic Italian-American dining with a distinctly modern spirit. The restaurant has become known for its inviting atmosphere and flavorful approach to Italian-inspired cuisine, offering beloved pantry staples that allow customers to enjoy the Rubirosa experience at home.
From signature sauces to extra virgin olive oil and pasta, Rubirosa focuses on familiar ingredients and comforting flavors while maintaining careful standards for quality and dietary preferences.
Signature Marinara Sauce
Rubirosa's Marinara Sauce is made with a simple combination of tomatoes, tomato paste, basil, salt, onions, olive oil, garlic, citric acid, black pepper, and crushed red pepper. The result is a classic tomato sauce with a balanced blend of savory, aromatic, and subtly spicy flavors.
The Marinara Sauce is vegan and kosher-certified, making it a versatile choice for a variety of meals. It can be enjoyed with pasta, used as a base for other recipes, or paired with your favorite Italian-inspired dishes.
Classic Vodka Sauce
For a richer and creamier flavor, Rubirosa offers its signature Vodka Sauce. Made with tomatoes, tomato purée, basil, heavy cream, onions, Parmesan cheese, vodka, extra virgin olive oil, salt, sugar, garlic, citric acid, black pepper, and crushed red pepper, this sauce combines the richness of dairy with the bright flavor of tomatoes and aromatic herbs.
The Vodka Sauce is kosher-certified but contains milk and is not vegan. It offers a creamy, indulgent option for those looking for a more decadent pasta experience.
Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Rubirosa also offers extra virgin olive oil, a versatile pantry essential that complements a wide range of Italian-inspired dishes. Whether used for cooking, finishing pasta, dressing vegetables, or simply adding a touch of richness to a meal, the olive oil brings a classic Mediterranean element to the Rubirosa collection.
Pasta Made with Durum Wheat
Rubirosa's pasta is made with enriched durum wheat flour and water. The enriched flour contains wheat along with iron, niacin, thiamine, riboflavin, and folic acid.
The pasta contains wheat, making it unsuitable for those avoiding wheat or gluten. Its classic composition makes it a natural pairing for Rubirosa's Marinara and Vodka sauces, allowing you to recreate a comforting Italian-inspired meal at home.
Dietary & Allergen Information
Rubirosa provides clear information about its ingredients and production environment. The sauces do not contain tree nuts, although they are produced in a facility where tree nuts are used in other products. The sauces are made on a separate production line.
The sauces themselves are gluten-free, but the manufacturing facility also handles gluten-containing products, and the sauce production line is not dedicated exclusively to gluten-free products. Customers with allergies or strict dietary requirements should therefore take the shared-facility information into consideration.
The Marinara Sauce, olive oil, and pasta are vegan according to the product information provided, while the Vodka Sauce contains dairy and is not vegan.
